The Sunday Times and Markinor have recently released their Top Brands survey for the South African market. Once again, Toyota has proven its popularity by making it to the top 5 for the 5th consecutive year. Toyota made it into the top 3 car brands. The Senior Vice President for Sales & Marketing at Toyota SA Andrew Kirby has said: “Toyota is very proud of the award and we are even more delighted about our brand’s consistent performance in the mind of consumers over the past five years. South African consumers have helped us to make our brand the market leader for the past 29 years. We are committed in maintaining our brand promise of delivering quality and reliability in all our products.”

The survey is conducted in two parts. 3500 consumers are surveyed through face-to-face and telephonic interviews. The business part of the survey is conducted telephonically with over 400 business people.
