Toyota has joined forces with extreme athletes David Grier and Braam Malherbe to ‘run a smile’ around the South African coastline. This Cipla Spar Miles for Smiles Coastal Challenge, in association with Round Table, aims to raise R3.5 million to help give the gift of a smile to children with cleft / palate disorders.

Grier and Malherbe will be running for 122 days at approximately 42km daily and resting every 7th; an astonishing total of 3500km! The full Toyota sponsored team will meet with local schools and mayors, raising awareness for this worthy cause along the way.

Toyota will provide a support team of fully equipped vehicles including: two Toyota Fortuner 4X4’s as well as a Toyota Hilux to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

One of the Fortuners will be driven by Geoff Dalglish , expedition guide and photo-journalist who will be keeping us up to date on the highs and lows of the challenge.
