Cronje/Birkin win Eastern Cape 500 for Toyota
Mark Cronje and Chris Birkin won last weekend's Eastern Cape 500 in their Castrol Toyota Hilux. They won the Friday prologue (which determines starting positions) and then went on to win by an impressive 10 minute margin.
Birkin and Cronje are the reigning Class A7 champions which has played a role in their win.
Cronje said “This was a win that was long overdue and one which we owed the team and the technical personnel. We twice came close to wins last year, this was a result we badly needed and it could not have come at a better time. Hopefully now that we have broken the ice, we can come up with more wins this season.”
